Job summary

TotalMed RN in Oak Bluffs, MA is seeking a MedSurg RN for an immediate travel assignment of 13 weeks at 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and BLS certification, with ability to perform bedside assessments and document findings accurately.

You will provide pre- and post-op care, administer medications, assist with dressings, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care RN experience required.
• BLS certification required; other certifications may be needed for assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
