Job summary

Ascension Providence in Waco, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the Premier Staffing Med Surg department. The role offers rotating shifts, full-time status of 36 hours per week, and direct patient care responsibilities within a Catholic health system.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing diploma, an RN license (compact or state), and BLS within 30 days of hire; at least one year of acute care RN experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• One year of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
