Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Minot, North Dakota. This role involves 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, for a 15-week assignment, with responsibilities across pre/post-op care, medication administration, and patient education.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and current BLS certification, with the ability to work in a fast-paced travel environment and provide high-quality bedside care to diverse patient populations

Qualifications

• RN license/certification referenced in job posting.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures and discharge planning.
