Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Ogallala, Nebraska. This Med/Surg RN role includes 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and a 13-week assignment in a high-demand travel position.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience, BLS, and be prepared to handle fast-paced patient care environments while delivering safe, quality care to diverse patient populations in Ogallala, NE.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during examination and treatment.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures.
• Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
