Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. The right RN should have 1-2 years of acute care experience and be eligible for a 17-week assignment starting 09/28/2026, working 48 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, wound care, prepping equipment, patient education, and discharge planning. Competitive weekly pay and benefits apply, with a tax-free stipend possible, per assignment

Qualifications

• RN with Med Surg experience.
• 1–2 years of acute care preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during exams and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
