Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Paducah, KY. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and ACLS, and features a 12-hour night-shift schedule with 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, dressing changes, patient education, and discharge planning. This is a travel position with tax-free stipends and a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
