TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Med/Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Mayfield, KY. The travel RN will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, handling a variety of Med/Surg patients and responsibilities.

The right candidate has 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, plus BLS, ACLS, CPI certifications. The role involves bedside care, patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians as part of a fast-paced travel team.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, CPI certifications required.
• 1.5 years of acute care experience required.
• Travel RN experience preferred for Med/Surg role.

Responsabilités

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on immediate needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and administer treatments as ordered by physician.
• Document patient findings and provide education to patients and families.
• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-operative patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Assist with dressings, catheter insertions and IV starts.
