Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Springdale, AR. This RN will work 36 hours per week, with 12-hour nights, and must have 1 year of acute care experience.

Responsibilities include bedside care, medication administration, dressing changes, catheterization, IV starts, and discharge planning. BLS and ACLS are required, with additional certifications possible.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS required.
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and post-discharge care.
• Involve in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed by physician.
