Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel Med Surg RN for Saint Joseph, Michigan. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care RN experience, ACLS/BLS, and 13-week travel assignments with 40 hours per week on a nights shift.

Responsibilities include bedside patient care, medication administration, wound care, IV starts, and patient education. Travel benefits and tax-free stipends apply depending on assignment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care RN experience.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; additional certs may be needed.
• Travel RN with 13-week duration and 40 hours/week, nights shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Aids physician during examination and treatment of patient; educates patients and families.
• Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan.
