Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL. You will deliver comprehensive care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, focusing on patient safety, timely documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires at least 1 year of Med Surg RN experience, active RN license, and BLS. Start ASAP with night shifts, 36 hours per week, and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required (read/write).
• Proficiency in PC skills and medical documentation.
• Physical ability to move and lift as needed.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist physicians.
• Maintain safe patient environment and infection control.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care plans.
• Manage multiple patients based on acuity and needs.
• Ensure PPE and infection control guidelines are followed.
• Participate in discharge planning and care transitions.
