Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lancaster, South Carolina. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and an active RN license with BLS/ACLS.

The Med/Surg RN will perform bedside assessments, administer medications, manage post-op care, and educate patients and families. This 13-week travel assignment requires 48 hours/week and 12-hour nights, with a tax-free stipend and travel benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current RN license and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS).

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and document medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert/maintain IVs, and assist with procedures.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
