Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Duluth, Georgia. This position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour day shifts.

The RN should have 1–2 years of acute care experience and be capable of bedside assessments, medication administration, and patient education. As a MedSurg travel nurse, you will participate in discharge planning, documentation, and patient education while working in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BLS and NIH certifications required; 2 years acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during exams and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
