Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Cumming, Georgia. This 16-week assignment requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts and travel employment status.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NIH certifications, and the ability to perform bedside care, administer meds, change dressings, and assist with discharge planning. Weekly pay and full benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS, NIH certifications.
• 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education per physician orders.
