TotalMed is seeking a Med Surg Travel RN for a Decatur, GA assignment. The RN will perform bedside assessments, administer meds, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced setting. Requires 1-2 years acute care experience and BLS. This travel role is 13 weeks at 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
• Travel nursing assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
• Assist in discharge planning and patient education as prescribed.
