Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Med/Surg Travel Nurse in Marion, Illinois. The position runs for 13 weeks with a 36-hour work week and 12-hour day shifts. Travel assignment requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS certification.

This role involves bedside care, medication administration, wound care, IV starts, and patient education. Travel RNs will join a fast-paced Med/Surg team, with responsibilities that include discharge planning and family education.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certs may be needed for assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and document prescribed medications, report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments; educate patients and families.
• Support discharge planning and patient education per physician orders.
