TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Marion, Illinois. This Med Surg RN role requires 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and BLS certification, with a 13-week assignment and 36 hours per week on a night shift.

As a MedSurg RN you will assess patients, document findings, and provide education to patients and families. The position includes travel benefits, guaranteed hours, and a competitive pay package for 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside Med-Surg care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op
• Administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Perform dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV starts
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education
