TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Carlsbad, New Mexico. You will conduct patient assessments and provide bedside care in a fast-paced Med-Surg setting, with a focus on documenting findings and educating families.

The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications, and the ability to perform 12-hour day shifts on a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• Travel RN with ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced Med-Surg setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatment.
• Educate patients and families about procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and education.
