Job summary

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions CHS seeks a Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in Carlsbad, NM. The nurse will cover general medical-surgical inpatient care, work 36 hours per week on days (12-hour shifts), and may float to related units with on-call requirements.

Requires 2+ years Med/Surg experience, BLS, and an active RN license; ACLS/PALS preferred. This travel position offers a fast-paced environment and a patient load around 1:6.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Med/Surg required.
• BLS required for all travellers.
• ACLS & PALS preferred but not mandatory.
• RN license active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide Med/Surg RN care on an inpatient unit.
• Maintain patient ratio around 1:6 on unit shifts.
• Float to assigned areas; days shift 6:30am–7:00pm with on-call as needed.
