Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Carthage, Tennessee, with a 13-week duration and 36 hours per week. Nights, 12-hour shifts. Travel employment type.

Immediate open availability for a Med Surg RN with 1-2 years of acute care experience. Responsibilities include patient assessments, data collection, administering medications, wound care, education, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Assist with dressings, catheters, and IV starts; prepare equipment for physician exams/treatments.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
