Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 10-week assignment in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The position offers 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift and travel employment.

You will deliver high-quality Med Surg nursing care, perform assessments, monitor telemetry as needed, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Required qualifications include 1 year Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS; NIHSS and ACLS certifications are

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostics and assist physicians during treatments.
• Monitor and ensure patient safety and comfort during recovery.
• Document vital signs and care outcomes in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Maintain infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Coordinate discharge planning with patients and families.
