Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Fayetteville, Georgia. This MedSurg RN position features an 18-week duration with 36 hours per week and a 12-hour night shift.

Immediate opening requiring 1 year acute care experience and BLS/NIH certifications. As a MedSurg Travel Nurse you will assess patients, document findings, provide education and support to families, and assist with discharge planning.

Qualifications

• BLS and NIH certifications required; 1 year acute care experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
• Educates patients on surgical procedures.
• Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
