Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Medical-Surgical travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Columbus, Indiana. The RN will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, providing Med-Surg care and patient education in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds a BLS certification and has 1–2 years of acute care experience. Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment, with ongoing support from TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• 13-week travel assignment in Columbus, IN.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside Med-Surg care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Assist with catheters, IVs, dressings and operative preparations.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
