Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 16-week assignment in Columbus, Ohio. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and 12-hour rotating shifts, with 36 hours per week and travel employment.

Responsibilities include bedside assessments, medication administration, wound care, patient education, and discharge planning. Certifications include BLS and ACLS; start date 11/02/2026 and employment type Travel.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Travel nurse role in Med/Surg with 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients (pre/post-op)
• Administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions
• Change dressings, insert catheters and initiate IVs
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during exams and treatments
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans
