Job summary

ConnectedHealth in Illinois near Freeport seeks a Travel Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist for a part-time, 8-week contract. You will perform testing across blood bank, hemostasis, chemistry, hematology and microbiology.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or related field from an accredited institution.
• ASCP or AMT certification and BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years generalist lab experience with phlebotomy and blood bank expertise.
• Ability to work nights with rotating weekends and a flexible schedule; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely laboratory testing across blood bank, hemostasis, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all procedures, results, and QC activities.
• Collaborate with lab team to troubleshoot equipment and optimize testing efficiency.
• Execute phlebotomy procedures and blood bank activities with safety and accuracy.
• Adjust schedule for night shifts and rotating weekends to ensure coverage.
