Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Illinois is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist for a 13-week StaffFlex contract on the night shift. You will interpret complex test results, lead quality control, and support instrument maintenance in a high-volume laboratory.

ASCP or AMT certification is required; Beckman Access and AU experience preferred. Bachelor's in Medical Technology with licensure and 2+ years of experience are expected. Competitive hourly pay and day-one benefits offered.

Qualifications

• ASCP or AMT certification required; Beckman Access and AU experience preferred.
• Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related sciences with licensure or certification.
• 2+ years of technical experience required; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets complex test results and serves as a resource for tests and procedures.
• Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; leads QC and assurance testing.
• Trains staff, conducts proficiency testing, and documents orientation and training.
• Performs pre- and post-analytical activities and supports data collection.
