Job summary

Medix in New York is seeking a Travel Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic and screening mammography in an outpatient Manhattan clinic. You will ensure imaging quality while adhering to FDA/MQSA guidelines and ALARA principles, delivering compassionate patient care.

The role requires NY State licensure, ARRT(R) and ARRT(M) credentials, and the ability to maintain accurate records. Travel, flexibility in schedule, and collaboration with radiologists and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Active New York State license in Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT (R) certification in Radiography.
• ARRT Advanced Certification in Mammography (ARRT (M)).

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic and screening mammography procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain imaging process to alleviate anxiety.
• Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality breast images.
• Maintain efficient workflow and support high-volume patient throughput.
• Maintain patient records, imaging logs, and QA/QC documentation per FDA/MQSA standards.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to coordinate care.
