Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient Lakeland, FL setting. The role requires 2+ years of mammography experience, ARRT(R) and BLS certifications, and advanced registry in mammography. License may be required depending on jurisdiction.

The candidate will perform screening and diagnostic mammography, 3D imaging, stereotactic biopsy assistance, and ultrasound support, using GE systems and PACS. Epic EMR experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of mammography experience.
• ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required.
• Advanced registry in mammography required.
• License required if applicable.
• Experience with screening, diagnostic, 3D mammography, stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, and breast ultrasound.
• Ability to evaluate images for quality, positioning, and completion prior to radiologist review.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient campus setting performing screening, diagnostic, and breast procedures.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Uses digital mammography, GE imaging systems, and PACS.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Perform mammography exams per MQSA guidelines and physician-driven protocols.
• Collaborate with radiologists, navigators, providers, and staff to support early detection and diagnosis of breast disease.
• Obtain and verify physician orders and patient identification prior to procedures.
• Review patient history to identify factors impacting image quality or safety.
• Assist patients with breast risk assessments.
• Ensure patient satisfaction through positive interactions and customer-focused care.
• Conduct equipment checks per MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Nicotine-free candidate requirement.
