Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound at a dedicated breast center.

Details

• Breast imaging center setting performing mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assisting with breast ultrasound biopsy
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatric adults
• Days schedule, 4x10-hour shifts
• Follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging

Requirements

• ARRT with Mammography (M) certification required
• BLS required
• State license required if applicable, must be currently active
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, healthcare experience preferred
• Working knowledge of mammography and stereotactic equipment, protocols, and contrast/sterile techniques
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift with occasional bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting

Additional Information

• Review patient requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnosis and demographic information
• Perform quality control to ensure equipment meets MQSA and ACR safety standards
• Communicate and educate patients before, during, and after breast imaging procedures
• Present completed exams to radiologists and communicate pertinent patient data to care teams
• Schedule and coordinate breast imaging appointments to ensure continuity of care
• Assist with departmental workflow management and ensure proper patient charges
• Organize and monitor medical supply inventory for cost-effective departmental spending
• Participate in orientation of new employees and healthcare professionals
• Maintain 24 CEU credits per ARRT guidelines every two years and current CPR certification
• Promote breast health education through organizational events
