Basic Requirements – Mammography Technologist

Experience

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic / Mammography Technologist preferred. Experience in an outpatient or clinic setting is preferred. Must demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, and diagnostic imaging equipment operation.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED – Required
• Completion of a formal AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program or equivalent – Required
• 40 hours of structured Mammography education – Required

Certifications / Licensure

• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ARRT (M) – Certified Mammography Technologist – Required
• CA Medical Radiographer License (MRAD-CA) – Required
• ARRT (R) – Radiography – Preferred

Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology, PACS, and electronic practice management systems
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills

Schedule
