Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Evansville, Indiana. The Mammographer will perform imaging procedures, ensure quality images, and coordinate with radiologists for interpretation.

The role requires 1 year of experience, BLS, ARRT(M) certification with mammography registration, and state licensing as applicable. This is a travel position with 13-week duration, 40 hours per week, dayshift.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography studies and ensure image quality for interpretation.
• Identify patients, explain procedures, and obtain consent when needed.

• Maintain patient records and ensure safe imaging practices.
• Utilize McKesson PACS system for image management.

We are looking for a Mammography Technologist (Mammo Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Evansville, IN. The right Mammo Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Mammo Tech, you will be responsible for the use of a mammography unit and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Tasks

As a Mammo Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have BLS, ARRT (M) National Certification with registration in mammography, and state-specific licensing when required.

Mammo Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Mammo Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
