Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Reston, VA. This role requires 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts, and starts ASAP. You will perform screenings and imaging while adhering to radiation safety standards and providing compassionate care.

You will collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams, maintain equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced travel setting.

Qualifications

• One year's experience as a Mammography Tech.
• Current state license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Position patient appropriately for imaging procedure.
• Maintain medical imaging equipment and prepare the room for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.
• Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
• Practice infection prevention through hand hygiene, PPE, and isolation precautions.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of Mammography Technologists.
