Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Winchester, Virginia. 40 hours per week, 8-hour days. Travel employment with licensure support and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammography, patient communication, and ensuring safety and quality of imaging. Focus Staff provides housing stipends, 401(k), and ongoing clinical support.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT certification is required.
• Current Mammography certification (ARRT-M) required.
• Current state licensure if required by state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements and ensure correct exam.
• Instructs and informs patient/family about the test and assesses tolerance of the exam.
• Positions patient and prepares area for mammography by adjusting equipment and exposure factors.
• Adheres to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies; uses sterile techniques and maintains hand hygiene.
• Coordinates with engineers/physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation and reports issues.
• Obtains and verifies documentation such as requisitions, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions.

Education

Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Current ARRT certification

Current Mammography certification (ARRT-M)

Current state licensure if required

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
