Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves performing routine mammography screenings and diagnostic imaging, supporting physicians, and ensuring safety and quality imaging under a dedicated clinical team.

The ideal candidate has one year of Mammography experience, a current state license, and BLS certification. ARRT certification preferred. Travel pay with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• One year's experience as a Mammography Tech.
• Current state license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification ( AHA/ARC )

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions if they arise.
• Position patient appropriately for imaging procedure.
• Maintain medical imaging equipment, ensure machines are functioning properly, and organize the procedure room for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor image quality during procedures, adjusting as needed for diagnostic accuracy.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams as necessary.
• Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
• Practice infection prevention through hand hygiene, PPE use, and isolation precautions.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the Mammography Technologist scope.
