American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in New Haven, CT. You will rotate across Shoreline Medical Center, North Haven Medical Center, Long Wharf Medical Center, and Smilow Cancer Hospital, performing 3-D, diagnostic, digital and screening mammograms.

The role requires ARRT M/R, 2+ years of experience, BLS, and comfort working in a Level I Trauma Center setting. Travel experience and Epic charting familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience.
• ARRT M and ARRT R certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Breast Ultrasound certification preferred.
• Experience with Hologic equipment required; Siemens experience a plus.
• Trauma Level I or large facility trauma center experience preferred.
• Epic charting experience preferred.
• License required if applicable.

Responsabilités

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT M, ARRT R certification to work across multiple imaging sites in a Level I Trauma Center health system.

Details

• Float between 4 sites including Shoreline Medical Center, North Haven Medical Center, Long Wharf Medical Center, and Smilow Cancer Hospital
• Inpatient and outpatient work settings
• Day shift schedules including 8:30 AM-5:00 PM and 12:00-8:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Every other Saturday shift from 7:30 AM-4:00 PM with a corresponding weekday off
• Schedule posted one week in advance
• Performs 3-D mammography, diagnostic mammograms, digital mammography, and screening mammograms
• Uses Hologic 3D and Siemens equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mammography, some travel experience preferred
• ARRT M and ARRT R certification required
• BLS certification required
• Breast Ultrasound certification preferred
• Experience with Hologic equipment required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or large facility trauma center experience required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, and universal precautions/core measures

Additional Information

• Cross training as Breast Sonographer preferred
• Level I Trauma Center, Academic Medical Center setting with over 1,000 staffed beds
• Teal scrub tops and bottoms required
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster accepted only with religious or medical exemption
• Travelers obligated to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates not accepted within 75 miles of the hospital site
• Returning staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
• One reference required for consideration
