Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Long Term Acute Care travel assignment in Gainesville, Florida. This LTAC RN role is 13 weeks long, offering 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts.

Immediate opening for an RN with LTAC or high-acuity experience. The RN will deliver direct patient care, monitor conditions, administer meds, manage ventilator care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RN experience in LTAC or similar high-acuity setting.
• Current BLS certification required and state licensure eligibility.
• ACLS certification preferred; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer IV meds, manage central lines, monitor vitals and labs.
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care and advanced wound management.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers on care plans.
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs and ensure safe patient care delivery.
• Document care accurately and participate in rounds and discharge planning.
