American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an LPN for a long-term care facility night shift position in Massachusetts. The role requires an active license and at least 3 years of nursing experience. The assignment runs for 13 weeks with responsibilities including medication administration, patient assessments, and supervision of CNAs.

Qualifications

• Stand up to 4 hours daily; bend/squat/stoop/kneel/walk
• Ability to handle physical and mental job stress

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care including meds, treatments and narcotic counts
• Observe and report resident symptoms and conditions
• Maintain records of resident status, meds, treatments and progress
• Transcribe physician orders and place drug orders
• Assist with nursing history, assessments, MDS and care plans
• Assist orientation and supervision of nursing staff including CNAs
• Handle admissions and discharges; notify physicians and family of changes
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities when needed
• Coordinate CNA assignments and supervise CNAs
• Report to the Unit Manager
• Work in a LTC facility on night shift (11pm-7am)
• 13-week assignment
