MedPro Healthcare Staffing seeks a Long Term Acute Care registered nurse for a travel assignment in Baldwyn, Mississippi. The LTAC RN will manage 5-6 patients, work 36 hours weekly on day shifts, and handle complex care in a fast-paced unit.

Requirements include an active RN license, degree from an accredited program, BLS/ACLS, 18+ months LTAC experience, and proficiency with vents, trachs, drips, readings, and telemetry.

Qualifications

• RN license required and nursing degree from an accredited program.
• BLS & ACLS certifications are required by the client facility.
• Eighteen months of LTAC bedside experience preferred.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes; able to read Tele-strips.
• Start date 11/18/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment.
• Must be able to work 36 hours per week on a day shift.

Responsabilités

• Provide care for 5-6 patients in a LTAC setting.
• Perform in a fast-paced environment with admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• Educate patients and families on procedures and care plans.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Interpret telemetry readings and notify the medical team of irregularities.
• Carry out RN duties at all times and maintain patient safety.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, A-Fib.
• Utilize computer systems to monitor vital signs and records.
• Start IVs, draw blood, and manage patient care from start to finish.

Duties Responsibilities

As part of the LTAC unit, Long Term Acute Care Nurses (RN) are responsible for caring for patients who require extended medical care.

• Provide care for 5-6 patients.
• Adjust and perform in fast paced environment
• Keep up with many admissions and discharges
• Be able to monitor and administer medications (orally, subcutaneously, and through an IV)
• Educate patients and family on surgical processes and how to manage their illness/injury
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and record and interpret electronic displays
• Interpret and understand telemetry readings, notifying appropriate medical team members of any irregularities
• Perform the duties required of a registered nurse at all times
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, respiratory failure, COPD, CHF, and A-Fib
• Use computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information
• Start IV’s, draw blood, see the patient from start to finish
