QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must maintain an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE)
  • Active CPR and AED training
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training
  • Experience with dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) helpful
  • Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are a plus!
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
  • This position may require using a personal vehicle for travel, requiring an active, valid Driver’s License.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prioritize patient safety and team safety
  • Adhere to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols, dispose of sharps and waste safely
  • Maintain digital patient records: health history, insurance, treatment plans, etc.
  • Educate patients and parents on oral health benefits
  • Monitor patient well-being during visits
  • Prepare tray setups per doctor’s preferences
  • Ensure exam rooms are cleaned, disinfected, and stocked
  • Update patient charts with treatment details
  • Review health history before doctor arrives and confirm chief concerns
  • Take diagnostic X-Rays and attach to patient charts
  • Assist in cleaning surfaces and areas of the clinic
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Compensation Range: $24-$28 per hour.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
