Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The position requires RN licensure, BLS, NRP, and obstetric experience.
You will care for mothers and newborns, support the clinical team, and follow hospital protocols during labor, delivery and postpartum care. Compensation includes competitive pay and benefits with 36 hours/week on 12-hour night shifts.
Qualifications
- One year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN is required.
- Valid RN license in NC and compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required.
- NRP Certification required.
Responsibilities
- Assess maternal and fetal health and provide obstetric nursing care.
- Administer medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
- Assist during labor, delivery, and cesarean sections as needed.
- Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and staff.
- Document care and outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
