Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Mount Clemens, Michigan. The assignment is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour nights, and requires ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP, STABLE along with 3 years of acute care experience.

Travel nurses provide dedicated labor, delivery and post-birth support, with duties including monitoring, epidural assistance, newborn care, and rapid response to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3 years' acute care RN experience in labor and delivery.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN certifications.
• Ability to work 12-hour nights and adapt to a travel assignment.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Assist physicians during epidurals, anesthesia, and cesarean prep.
• Monitor contractions and support breathing techniques.
• Assist with newborn care and immediate post-birth tasks.
• Move and assist patients safely, lifting up to 50 pounds when needed.
