Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Detroit, Michigan. The assignment is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week and 12-hour day shifts. Immediate opening requires 3 years of acute care experience and L&D expertise.

The RN will monitor labor, support obstetric procedures, and assist with newborn care in a fast-paced setting. As a travel nurse, you will be responsible for providing compassionate, evidence-based care before, during, and after delivery,

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Travel assignment: 13 weeks in Detroit, MI.
• Shift: 12 hours, days; 36 hours per week.
• L&D RN assists physicians during delivery procedures and postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix to monitor progression.
• Keep beds clean and dry; clean after delivery.
• Assist physician with delivery instruments and prep.
