Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse for Labor and Delivery in Waterbury, Connecticut. This travel position runs for 13 weeks at 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts. Candidates should have 3 years of acute care RN experience and relevant L&D certifications. The role includes assisting physicians during delivery and newborn care.

Qualifications

• L&D RN experience and strong patient monitoring skills.
• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications required.
• 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours/week and 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervix progression and dilation.
• Maintain clean and safe bed area; assist with delivery instruments and fluids.
• Assist physician with drapes, gloves, and delivery setup.
• Provide immediate care to newborn after delivery.
