Job summary

AG Globe Services is seeking a Travel Nurse RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Waterbury, Connecticut. The RN will cover labor, delivery and immediate postpartum, with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Requirements include an active CT RN license or compact eligibility, previous L&D experience, strong maternal-fetal monitoring skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or eligible compact license.
• Previous Labor & Delivery nursing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of maternal and fetal monitoring and obstetric nursing practices.
• Excellent clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced L&D environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Perform maternal and fetal assessments and continuously monitor patient status.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and recognize changes requiring intervention.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered.
• Assist physicians and the healthcare team during deliveries and procedures.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and hospital policies.
