Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Labor and Delivery assignment in Brighton, Colorado. This 13-week travel role requires a RN with 3 years of acute care experience, 36 hours per week, on nights. BLS, NRP, PALS, and ACLS are required.

Duties include monitoring labor, assisting with delivery, and newborn care, with flexibility for high-stress situations. The position is with TotalMed RN, a national travel nursing agency offering weekly pay, benefits, and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of acute care nursing experience.
• BLS, NRP, PALS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient during labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Assess cervical dilation and progression.
• Maintain clean and safe bedside environment; manage fluids and delivery instruments.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, episiotomies and cesarean delivery prep.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
