You will monitor the baby's heart rate, manage maternal vitals through labor and post-partum, administer medications as ordered, and educate new mothers and families on infant care. Shift: 3x12 nights.

Labor and Delivery RNs (L&D RNs) are responsible for monitoring patients throughout labor and serve as the primary point of contact for family members. L&D RNs monitor the baby’s heart rate and provide immediate care to the newborn. L&D RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
