Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Oklahoma City, OK. The position requires 36 hours per week across 12-hour day shifts, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The role involves monitoring maternal and fetal health, administering meds, assisting during labor and cesarean procedures, and providing postpartum care. A valid Oklahoma RN license, BLS, and NRP are required, with one year of L&D experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One years’ recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care and interventions in the medical record.
