Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Springfield, TN. Shift: 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, travel opportunity with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Required qualifications include 1 year of L&D experience, RN license, BLS, and NRP; preferred certifications include AWHONN fetal monitoring, STABLE and ACLS. You will assess maternal and fetal health, administer care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

Communicate obstetric procedures to patients and families, provide reassurance.
Administer medications and assist with labor and delivery per obstetric nursing techniques.
Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
Provide immediate postpartum care and educate on recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists for cohesive care.
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
Document care in the medical record and participate in quality improvement.
