Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Idaho Falls, ID. You’ll cover night shifts, 12 hours, 36 hours per week, with competitive pay and benefits.

As part of a supportive clinical team, you’ll assess laboring patients, monitor fetal status, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe deliveries. Travel benefits include licensure reimbursement and day-one coverage.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in the state (or applicable regulations).
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
