Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Dubuque, IA for a 13-week assignment. The role involves 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with travel employment status.

You should have 3 years of recent acute care experience and active L&D credentials, plus required certifications as listed. As an L&D RN, you will support patients before, during, and after delivery, assist with epidurals, cesarean prep, and newborn care, while maintaining safety and empathy in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, FHM, NRP, STABLE certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor dilation.
• Keep beds clean and assist with delivery instruments and fluids.
• Provide immediate care of newborn and assist physicians as needed.
