Job summary

TotalMed RN in Towson, MD is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week. The role requires 3 years of acute care experience and L&D expertise, with 12-hour days. Immediate opening with travel benefits and exposure to high-acuity obstetric care.

Travel RN will support physicians, monitor contractions, assist with epidurals/cesareans as needed, and care for both mother and newborn, in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care experience required.
• L&D nursing specialty with obstetric skills preferred.
• BLS, NRP, EFM certifications required or may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status.
• Assist physicians during delivery and procedures.
• Provide maternal-newborn care before, during, and after birth.
• Support patient comfort and education during labor.
